Alan's journey as a nutritional chef began with a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis. He stubbornly avoided medication for nine years, trying to control his blood sugar through weight loss alone. It failed, leading to severe health problems.

Determined to heal himself, Alan delved into research and discovered that by carefully managing his diet, focusing on limiting sugars and embracing high-quality vegetables and proteins, he successfully normalized his blood sugar in three months, without medication or insulin.

After studying nutrition and the available research, Alan learned that simple food can heal many different issues people face today and although the research available is extensive, it is often looked at through a singular lens.

Using his passion for learning, and always asking why, Alan helps others by connecting the dots from the seemingly disparate available research to find the best scientific approach to tackling your health issues.

Week 1 - Lead-in

This first week is all about prep. Prep your kitchen by cleaning out all the restricted foods and pack it full of the good stuff. This will help you stay on track. It's also a good time to chat with your family so they can support you.

Week 2

Start by filling out the tracking sheet to monitor your progress. Then follow the simplified diet. It will seem boring at first, but it's on purpose. So many programs are overly complicated making it hard to stick with it.

Week 3

Week 3 is a repeat of week 2. Again this is on purpose. You will start to notice some changes and you may even have lost weight already. The point is to get your body used to eating healthy, nutritious food.

Week 4

In week 4, we introduce some light exercise. If you do not exercise regularly, that's OK, just do a little more than you could do yesterday. Movement is good for you and this is about getting into a habit of moving.

Week 5

Why do you have fat? Amazingly, most people don't know the answer. Fat is for one purpose... fuel. You can only get energy from two sources - sugar and fat. You'll understand that fat is the cleanest energy to burn.

Week 6

Why do you eat? Why are you hungry? We've trained ourselves to eat multiple times per day, but why? To keep our energy levels up. But when you don't need sugar for energy, you won't be hungry.

Week 7

The final week of following the meal plan is a push to see how far you can go in such a short time. You'll be shocked at how much your body changes in just these few weeks. Once again, you'll fill out the tracking sheet.

Week 8 - Maintenance

This program is all about lifestyle choices that change your life for the better. This week, you'll learn how to maintain all the gains you made in the previous 7 weeks. If you want to lose more weight, you can repeat the process.

FAQs

How long is the program?

The program is 8 weeks. There is a one-week lead-in which is very helpful for people to prepare their mindset and kitchen for the program, and a week of maintenance at the end. We recommend that people repeat the 6-week program after the week of maintenance as that provides the best results. After that, you will have the knowledge and the tools to maintain, or get back on track if you need (everyone likes to ignore the rules during the holidays, but you'll quickly rebound back if you go back to the program for a few days).

Do I have to count calories?

No. This program does not require you to count calories. You will be counting protein as you must eat enough of it for your current weight.

Do I have to eat special foods?

No. There are restrictions on the types of food you can eat and a particular list of foods that are allowed. Still, we provide nutrient-dense, flavorful, and easy-to-prepare recipes that can easily be adjusted for your family to enjoy. It's important to remember that these restrictions are for the 8 weeks of the program. After you've achieved your goals, you will be metabolically diverse and will be able to reintroduce those foods in moderation.

What kind of support is available?

You will be part of an online group with the support of other women who are in the program or have been through the program. Alan watches the group for any questions and answers them online so everyone can benefit from knowing the answers.

What do I get when I join the program?
